When to go
From November to March the weather is perfect and from mid January to mid March humpback whales fill the bay of Samana. Summer is green, warm and quieter.
Getting there without a car
From Santo Domingo, the Asotrapusa guagua reaches central Las Terrenas in about 2.5 hours. The exact departure point comes with your ticket. From Punta Cana, Guagualine sells the combined itinerary via Santo Domingo with an assisted connection.
