The Dominican Republic has 14 airports with an ICAO code, 9 of them with scheduled flights or under construction. Punta Cana takes 71.9% of the foreign non-residents who arrived by air in 2025, out of 7,341,745 in total. No intercity bus leaves from inside an air terminal: there is always a short taxi or transfer leg to the city stop.
Dominican aviation in 2025
Four figures for the year. Watch what each one counts: arriving in the country is not the same as passing a check-in desk.
That traffic spreads over 410 destinations in 71 countries, served by 350 scheduled and non-scheduled airlines.
